What is Illite?

Discovered in the United States in 1937, Illite is a representative natural clay mineral. As a porous montmorillonite mineral, it is widely used in numerous cosmetics due to its infrared radiation, antibacterial properties, and heavy metal absorption capabilities. Illite, with the world's largest storage, is uniquely abundant in purity and mass landfilling in South Korea, the hub of K-beauty, and is also found in small amounts in the United States, Canada, and Australia.

Usage

1. Facial mask: Mix lllite clay powder (1) with one of following ingredients according to your skin type: water (0.5), yogurt (1), honey (1-2), or olive oil (0.5). Apply the mixture to your face, leave it on for 10-20 minutes, and rinse thoroughly. See the right-side picture(How to use) for detailed ratio. Before using the mask, perform an allergy test on the inner side of your wrist.

2. Facial cleansing: Elevate your cleansing routine by mixing the clay with your favorite facial cleanser or soap. Gently massage onto your face and rinse with water for a refreshing cleanse.

3. Exfoliation: Indulge in a luxurious exfoliation experience by combining the clay powder with shower gel or soap. Apply the mixture to damp skin, gently massaging, and rinse to reveal a smoother complexion.

4. Bath: Transform your bath into a therapeutic oasis by mixing 3 tablespoons of clay into the bathwater. Soak for 15-25 minutes, allowing the clay to work its magic, then rinse for a truly rejuvenating experience.
